Forget tossing the disc around on the quad..OU's Recreational Services in conjunction with the Norman Disc Golfers Association (NDGA) will be hosting a disc golf tournament for OU Students on Friday, September 22nd.

This will be a great event to introduce new players to the game and build relationships between the Disc Golf and University Communities. Garry Armstrong, Rec. Services Assistant Director, spear-headed the movement to include disc golf as an Intramural Sport. He sought out the resources and assistance of the NDGA to provide an authentic disc golf experience. The event will be held Friday, September 22nd from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the historic Duck Pond on Lindsay Street in Norman. The course will consist of 9 temporary holes laid out on the east side of the pond. This event will be part of the Intramural Points Series. There will be no cost to enter, but is limited to current OU students only. A disc golf clinic will be held after the event, with members of the NDGA instructing. Used discs will be provided to the players by Play It Again Sports and the NDGA. For more information contact: Chris Pierce at
